Flamengo has solved the contractual imbroglio with midfielder João Gomes. This Friday (16), the Rubro-Negro agreed to renew the contract of the “Garoto do Ninho”, who had signed with the “Mais Querido” until December 2025. From now on, the No. 35 from Gávea will wear the Manto Sagrado for another four and a half years, besides receiving a salary increase.

João Gomes had one of the lowest salaries of the current Flamengo squad. The player was paid R$50 thousand, with a contract valid until December 2025. However, after a long negotiation between the “Garoto do Ninho” and the red-black board, it was agreed that the No. 35 from Gávea will earn R$250 thousand per month for the next four and a half years.
