O Flamengo que venceu e convenceu contra o Goiás, no último domingo (14), no reencontro com a torcida no Maracanã, é fruto de muito trabalho e passa, segundo Rodrigo Caio, pelas mãos de Jorge Jesus. O zagueiro, que falhou no gol do time goiano ao atrasar a bola para Diego Alves, enalteceu a postura do treinador português:
– Um dos treinadores que mais me exigiu fisicamente e taticamente, pela cobrança, pela intensidade, pela forma como fala. Gosta muito de treinar, de evoluir, de crescer como equipe e acho que esse é o primeiro passo. Quando você consegue encaixar as duas ideias: um treinador com uma mentalidade exigente, rígida, querendo um time muito competitivo e um time que já tem isso por natureza, de competir, de querer vencer, de querer melhorar… Eu acredito que a gente está no caminho. Esperamos tirar (o aprendizado) dos treinos e colocar nos jogos para alcançar nossos objetivos -, afirmou à CONMEBOL, no twitter oficial da entidade.
Em quase um mês de Flamengo – iniciou os treinamentos em 20 de junho – Jorge Jesus vai, aos poucos, implantando novas ideias e metodologias dentro e fora das quatro linhas. O próximo desafio será na quarta-feira (17), contra o Athletico-PR, no Maracanã, em confronto válido pelo jogo de volta das quartas de final da Copa do Brasil, às 21h30. Com o empate em 1 a 1 no primeiro jogo, novo empate leva a decisão para os pênaltis. Quem vencer, passa de fase e enfrenta Bahia ou Grêmio.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave
it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
